Rear Camera Wire Cut

Bought a 2021 Premier 23RB approximately three weeks ago. Yesterday we purchased a rear view camera. After install, found it was inoperative. Removed it from the mounting to find the pre-wire wiring was cut. I realize it’s under warranty, yet was hoping to find a way to get it wired up myself. Any advise on where I find the constant 12v source would be helpful. I do understand I could connect to the marker light above, yet that would only work with the lights on not allowing full functionality of the camera.

Mine was factory wired to constant 12 volt power. I had to rewire it so that it would only work with the lights on (like yours currently does.) Are you sure you want it on day and night, 24 hours a day? Constant battery drain? Sure you could wire in a switch somewhere but that means you will have to manually get out and switch it on as needed. Much easier to just turn on the lights when you want it, even if you want it on while driving.

What's the issue with driving with the clearance (parking) lights on during the daytime? My camera is hardwired and powered by the tow vehichle but I still drive with the parking lights and fog lights on during the day when towing.
