Broken jalousie window

I went to my trailer last week and discovered the rear crank out window to be broken. I managed to get the frame out with quite a bit of difficulty. I believe the top extrusion is embedded in the rubber molding and may not go back in easily. The frame is currently at the glass shop getting a new piece of tempered glass installed. Has anyone gone through this or have any tips?

Short answer, no. Long answer: I'm waiting to hear what people say. I, too, have a broken window and it's looking like it'll be $500-$600 to have the whole assembly shipped.

Talking to one local glass guy, COVID seems to have made it so they can't get their glass tempered. Calling another local glass guy and the response is "This person's voice mailbox is full."

The glass shop charged me $80.00 to get the tempered glass made and they installed it in the frame for me. That took 4 weeks. A few helpful folks on another RV forum who work with glass advised me to use glass cleaner as lube to get the frame back into the molding....and it slid right into place! I wish you luck with yours!

Mine's a frameless window, the glass company states they can't repair those...
