I’m from pa and own a 355 RK Avalanche. The fridge cools well when the outside temperature is below 75. In the morning it reads 34 and as the outside temperature rises so does the fridge. Had it looked at by a technician and he changed the high temperature switch. But still gains temperature. Any advice?

There has been some significant issues with the larger absorption refrigerators cooling properly. The "common thread" seems to be ventilation behind the refrigerator that allows the heat produced by the refrigerator to escape. If that heat is trapped behind the refrigerator, the ability to cool is decreased significantly. There are multiple threads on this and most other forums about the problems with ventilation. Here's one recent example. The entire thread is relevant, but pay close attention to post #67. https://www.keystoneforums.com/forum...t=40087&page=7

Fans... add as many fans as you can in the cavity between the back of the refeer and the exterior wall. intake at the bottom, exhaust at the top.

Here’s an option I found on YouTube that might work. There are a bunch of DIY’s on the internet for this issue.

Ditto the above. Our fridge would get into the high 40's on hot days. I added 2 fans at the top pointing out of the top vent and put them on their own thermistor. It solved the problem for us and keeps air moving through the cooling fins on the back of the fridge.

I had this problem late April in Arizona, it was getting in the 90’s. Something I want to check is when I got home and started to empty out the refrigerator the thermostat was laying on the back of the shelf, it had dropped out of the plastic clip on the fin.

Also will be looking to add fans to the top vent on the slide out.
