Bullet lamp problems

The overhead lamps in my Bullet 269rls have stopped working. I have had to replace one already and now another stopped working. It seems the switch will get jammed and not turn on. When I took off the first one it looked like the connector was “burned”. Kinda brownish like it had gotten hot. I’m thinking it’s a safety feature that if it starts to overheat the switch shuts off and won’t turn back on? The bulbs were black, I didn’t replace them because of the connector not looking right to me. I replaced the whole lamp and it is working but now the lamp over the dining table is jammed and the one over the bed. Anyone have any suggestions?

This is a WAG, as I don't have your trailer. Are your bulbs halogen in these lamps rather than LED? The halogen ones get really hot and can cause this. I'd look into replacing with something you like in an LED set up.

What year is your Bullet? What style/kind of bulb?

I'd start pulling the fixtures/switches & checking all the connections. My last SOB had a series of ceiling lights go out, pulled the 2nd fixture to find the connections were shorted & melted the wire nuts connecting them, luckily they were fused.
