Fantastic Fan Placement

Our trailer is open concept. Just curtain dividing kitchen and bed which is in the front of camper. Should I place fan above bed or in the kitchen (middle). Camping world is installing next week for $39. Just not sure how noisy or how much air it will suck though the windows. I'm thinking Kitchen.

They do draw a lot of air so the kitchen would be best and most quiet at nite. Enjoy.

Downside to the kitchen (where mine is mounted) is if it is running while cooking, it can get greasy.

But at night you open a window in the bedroom, turn the fan on and you get a nice breeze in the bedroom.

I'd go for the kitchen.

That is where I put mine. I think you will like it in the kitchen. Good fans!

Put mine over the kitchen. Range hood does not vent, and when we cook sausage, etc, fire alarms always go off. Putting the Fantastic Fan in the kitchen pretty much eliminated that.

I'd like to do this, but not sure how easy it is to get unswitched 12v to the fan.

I'm letting Camping World install it for $39. I'm going to request that they hook it up to a unswitched power source. I bought the Good Sam club and they will install almost anything for $39, it paid for itself several times already.

Best thing to do is get the fantastic fan with the remote. Then wiring becomes much easier and the remote is very handy.

WOW!!! My $39 install turned into $173..turns out they installed fan for $39 plus $25 for self level sealant, extra wiring, plus time to do extra wiring, 1/2 hr at about $120 an hour, plus, plus, plus. If it sounds too good to be true, is the old saying.

The remote is handy, but it still would need to be on an unswitched circuit.

That sucks. $25 for caulking?? Did they charge you to remove the old vent? Where did they pull the unswitched power from?

I can't tell you where they got the power from, I can tell you they didn't add a circuit to the panel. I believe they pulled wires to the back of the control panel. I had a new service writer that really didn't know what she was doing. It took almost an hour to get the bill straight and I was getting upset. I didn't want to ask any more questions as I was in a hurry to get back on the road. I won't fall for their gimmicks again ($39 install). At my age, I try not to get too upset anymore, just not worth losing sleep over it.
