Window Leak / Weak Floor

Hey all,

2017 Keystone Passport 2400BH

My camper has been in storage for 4 weeks and we got a lot of rain during that time. Apparently one of the windows developed a leak during this time. I think I have the leak fixed, but the floor under the window feels very weak/spongy. It's in the area of the master bedroom, see photo with red oval of problem area.

Question is, do I
1. live with it?
2. re-support the floor somehow?
3. replace the subfloor?

This part of the camper is uninsulated under it, if that helps with which way to go.

Problem with floor fixes is the way the camper was constructed. They built the frame and then fastened the floor to it and then put walls, cabinets, bed, etc. on the floor so what I would attempt initially is to get a dehumidifier and see if drying out the area will cause the floor to get less spongy. If there is carpet over the area, it should like be pulled as it won't let the sub floor dry. I am not sure what material your floor is constructed but I am sure there are folks here who will give you better tips on what to do. And fix the window leak ASAP! Good luck.

Has anyone ever toyed with the idea of a fiberglass repair for floors? I know you would have to dry out or cut out the bad section but fiberglass is used for boat repairs all the time….may be a viable solution for some of the sandwiched floors

Do a "google search" for the term wood repair for rotted wood.

There are commercial products formulated specifically for repair of water damaged/rotted wood. Some will work for "select issues in RV's"... All will not. Do some research on the links at this "google search".....
