Electrical issues

I have an 09 keystone 326srx toyhauler. Last year I was experiencing some electrical issues.
1- as I was hooking up brand new deep cycle batteries, my arm touched metal and I could feel small shocks, my batteries would die within minutes of disconnecting from my tv, however if I stayed connected they would work fine for the duration of the trip.
2- replaced the inverter last year, didn’t change anything. Works fine plugged into shore power or the tow vehicle, unplugged batteries die within minutes
3- would like to figure this out before first trip this year, any help is appreciated

Couple of questions first.
1. Was the trailer plugged into shore power when you got the "small shocks"? If it was, that's your first issue. Never connect/disconnect batteries with the unit plugged into shore power with the inverter on.
2. Batteries would die within minutes? That would be enough drain to set any wire connected to the battery on fire. What voltage batteries and are they wired in parallel or in series?
3. "replaced the inverter" do you mean the converter? The converter takes 120vac and converts it to 12vdc and charges the batteries. An inverter does just the opposite.

Sorry for not getting back to you all. Issue was just the 50 amp circuit breaker near my batteries. Every time I checked it with a test light, I had power on both sides.
The lights in my trailer would only stay on for about 5 seconds and by the time I got back to check the breaker, it had reset itself, so I had power.
Yes I meant converter. The shocks were coming from the bad breaker.
