Hi, I never got a manual with my 2010 25 cougar and I want to de-winterize it.
There's two pex drains on the bottom and I was wondering if this is where I start

The two drains coming out the bottom in close proximity are the low point drains. There will be another one close to the fresh water tank. There is also a drain at the water heater.

So drain, flush some water through, close valves and the one in the water heater and that's it?

Well I downloaded the manual and it's saying that there's a switch on the wall that turns the hot water heater from propane to 110.
The only switch I have is to turn on the water heater.
Also it's saying that the fridge is 12 volt? I thought it was 110 and propane?

You might want to spend a little more time with that manual. Page 40 for the refrigerator will explain the 12 Volt requirement (to light the propane) and page 54 for the water heater switch operation. Keep in mind that there are two brands of water heaters used. This is addressed in the next sentence in that same paragraph detailing the location of the switches. Not all water heaters have an electric switch inside the coach. On some the electric switch is inside the panel on the outside of the coach.

Also what's the reset button for?

The small, black rocker switch is the switch we have been talking about that will turn on or off the electricity (110VAC) to your HW tank. When the switch is in the OFF position, you can insert the cotter pin to keep the switch in the OFF position. This cotter pin comes in handy when you drain your HW tank and you want to make sure that the switch is "locked" in the OFF position and you cannot accidentally turn the switch on when your tank is empty. The cotter pin is a safety feature to ensure that the switch is locked in the OFF position.
To operate the tank using 110VAC, press the switch to ON - just make sure that there is water in the tank before you do this!
As has been mentioned here before, you can use both 110VAC and propane when heating water in the tank.


The reset buttons are part of a cut-off device that shuts off the electrical element when the water temperature reaches its maximum set value. Pressing the reset buttons will re-active the element and allow it to continue heating the water.

I was at the RV place today to get the legal ends by code out here for my cord and they explained the difference between 30 and 50 amp service and what I need so that was cool!
