replacement Lippert pump and tank

I have a 2003 38' fifth Montana. It has three slides. The Lippert hydraulic pump has a leak at the O-ring where the fluid reservoir bolts unto the pump. I have replaced the o ring but the leak comes back. A friend called Lippert and they want $1200 for a new pump and tank. They suggested a new o ring with sealant applied under the o ring and on top of it. Then put a swimming pool noodle under the tank to cushion the tank while traveling. I’m willing to try this, but if it will not stop the leak, is there not a pump and tank I can buy for around $ 3 to 400 dollars that will work. Lippert says the pump is obsolete. I see no cracks or flaws on the tank or pump. Surely there is another brand name that will work for this…
Please help.

Thanks
Johnny

I always put something under the end of the tank to support it and have had no problems, this is our 4th rig and no leaks.

Thanks Larry..I guess I'll change the o ring one more time. I wish I had none about supporting the tank.

If you do end up buying new, check ebay there are several models there to choose from for a heck of a lot less money...
