Can't turn antenna from inside Cougar 27RLSWE

Hi I am a new member with a 2015 Keystone Cougar 27RLSWE. I have a question regarding my antenna use. I can turn the handle to make it go up and down but I can't turn it. It seems to be locked.

Pull down on the round indented portion as you turn it.

If it has not been used in a long time you might have to have somebody on the roof and give it a little help while cranking. If you get it up then you can spray some lube on it. Be careful you don't get the lube on the roof.

I did pull down on the handle to release it but it is still locked. I think you are right about it being stuck because of nonuse. I will spray it with some WD40. Or can you suggest a better lubricant?

WD-40 silicone spray or some other brand of silicone spray.
The regular WD-40 is also a dust/dirt magnet best used as a penetrating oil on rusted bolts or for removing bugs/tar from your vehicle rather than a lubricant.

You don't pull down on the handle, you pull down on the turning ring.
WD-40 might break the current stiction aggressively, but silicon or teflon lubes work very well and last much longer.

WD-40 works fantastic for removing road tar from the side of your vehicle or your camper too, and does not hurt paint.

Owners manual says to use a silicon spray regularly, WD-40 is only to get things unstuck
