Snap pad/jack pad clearance

Saw this video today.
I didn’t give much thought about clearance when I installed my snap pads.
Is that something to be concerned with? Anyone have any clearance issues? I’m going to raise my rear jack and measure today.

It can be a clearance issue.. especially if six point hyd and the rear ones drag.. Personally I dont like snap pads.. I use blocks I built.. six.. one for each leg with rope handle and have no clearance issues

I put Snap Pads on all six of our hydraulic jacks on our Montana and like them. After knocking one rear pad off during a shoulder turn around after missing a campground entrance I raised the mid and rear jacks one hole and have had no further problems. Since the pads stay on the jacks there are less things to carry around and fool with when setting up and breaking camp.

I’m gonna measure them and if I have less then 7” clearance I’m gonna move up one or two holes higher.
I’ve been meaning to make a nice set of pad blocks. One more thing on the list

Made these a few years ago... Zero issues with leveling and the blocks are easy to grab and position and stow well...

How thick are snap pads? I just don’t see them adding stability because usually you need a shorter extension of the jack to achieve less rocking.

With the price of lumber (in Canada anyway) it might be worth ordering the rubber snap pads

I'm excited to install mine. I'm sure I'll have to raise the pistons. Roaming with the Ramsays did a pretty informative video too. Since they also have an Alpine I know I'll have similar issues.
