New to me tv upgrade

I have been white knuckling with my F150 for years and would only camp in areas where I could avoid any long hills or mountains. One of our camping friends just bought a new truck so I purchased his old Chevy 2500 at a good price. His tt is about 2000 lbs heavier than mine so I feel much safer now and can't wait for that first pull next month.

Congrats! I don't know all the specifics of your situation, but, if you 've been white knuckling with a 150 the new truck will improve the situation without a doubt. When you experience the difference let us know. We have lots of folks towing big trailers, thinking the experience is fine, with their overloaded trucks. The difference is far more than "better" with an appropriate truck.

Congrats on the upgrade. For me, the difference was like night and day. You won't regret it. It was one of my better moves!

Didn't mean to start a Ford vs Chevy war. I have owned both and really have no preference. I hooked up my tt today and pulled it a few miles. The difference was night and day. I did have to adjust my hitch because the 2500 reciver sits about 6-8 inches higher than the F150. After a couple of trial trips I got it right. I am well pleased with my new purchase and now I am not limited to south Ga camping trips. See y'all on the road and happy camping!

You didn't start the war. Just gave an excuse for a couple of salvos across enemy lines.

Enjoy your new setup. The days are getting longer.
