Outdoor Kitchen: Please tell me it's not so!

So we just returned from our Labor Day weekend new trailer shakedown. We found a few issues that need to be repaired/inspected, but that's for another thread (and to be honest, there were many less than I would have expected!).

What caught my attention this weekend was the outdoor kitchen and what appears to be the ability to only use the grill or the range, and not both at the same time.

Is this true?

I tried lighting my range this weekend shortly after throwing a few steaks on the grill, only to find there was no gas flowing. I knelt down and saw the black propane line neatly tucked under the slide-out countertop. After a little investigating I was able to determine the male connector was just long enough to reach the female end of the hose supplied for the BBQ.

During our PDI walk-thru, we were shown (in detail) on how to install and operate the included Blue Rhino grill, but no mention was ever made of having to share that propane line with the grill.

Did Keystone miss something or is this really the case?

I have the Sprinter 266 and I have a hose that I connect to the bbq and then on the gas burners it has its own hose that is always attached and just needs to be attached to a quick connect at the trailer. Both are used at the same time for almost every meal.

I will have to look into that. I didn't see a place for the cooktop hose to be connected anywhere....I will look again. Thanks for the info!

Look farther back ... the grill may be connected to the cook-tops quick connect.

The cook top connector on mine is located right behind the rear wheel maybe a couple feet back while my bbq is at the very rear of the TT.

Mine only came with a stove. The quick connect was located at the beginning of the outdoor kitchen, underneath for the stove. I added a blackpipe extension (3-4') with another quick connect when I added the swing out grill. Ive tested and could use both at the same time. They pretty much did this after my model, one of the first outdoor kitchens. I also got to pick my grill which was the s.s. Olympain, works good but dont use it much. We cook over the fire mostly.

Based upon the responses, it appears this may be an oversight by Keystone. There is no female connector inside the bay for the cooktop line to connect to and the only outside LP bib is at the back for the grill.

I will have them take a look when I take the coach to them this next Friday.

Thanks for your responses!

Mine has two quick connects in the back, one for the "kitchen" stove, and one for the BBQ that mounts on the bumper. My stove has to be reconnected each time I want to use it. There is no way to keep the connection and fold the stove back in.
