New Passport 2510 RB

I’m a new member, living in Ontario Canada. I just traded in my little Jayco SLX 195 RB for a Passport 2510 RB and couldn’t be happier with the extra space and the slide out! It’s being delivered Monday, so there may be questions as I navigate setting it up. I will need a tutorial on winterizing the plumbing, as the campground closes next Tuesday. Any suggestions on a tutorial for my model? Thanks to all!

Welcome to the forum from Pennsylvania! I used to have a 2510RB, so feel free to ask away. From what I can tell, all Keystone has done to the model since my 2011 is update the interior touch materials and change the TV stand. Hope you enjoy the floorplan like we did!

Welcome from northern MN. Might want to check the internet for winterizing. Should be able to find something.

Thanks for the offer of information about the Passport! Will two big jugs of RV antifreeze be enough for the 2510RB?

Don't know what "two big jugs" are in reference to RV antifreeze as I've only seen it sold in 1 gallon containers. At the price of it why not buy 3 and not have an issue if you used a little more than someone else who says they only use 2 gallons?

Don't dump it into the fresh water tank! Typically there's enough water left in that tank to dilute the anti freeze to the point of being useless.
If you don't have the connection already on your pump for this purpose there's a kit available to add for very little $$.
IMHO if you blow all the lines out using 40-45 psi, or less, then pump the anti freeze there won't be any water left in the lines to dilute the af.

Doesn’t the Passport have a valve you open that sucks the antifreeze through all of the lines? I put the tube in the jug and turn the water pump on, after draining all the tanks. The Jayco has that, and there’s no need to blow out the lines. Just wondering; I’m not getting the new trailer until Monday.

A simple search on this site will return you dozens of methods, step by step, to winterize. In that you have no dish washer, ice maker, or washing machine everything is about the same as your Jayco. And yes, 2 gallons will be enough, but three makes sure you have a little insurance. As was mentioned, none in the black tank, grey tank, fresh water tank, and none in the water heater. All should be drained and left as is.

Thanks Jim. I also put some in the toilet, sink and through the shower until it turns pink. I’m still wondering if it has a valve near the water heater. My Jayco has a tube next to it. Once the valve is open, you stick the tube in the antifreeze and run the water pump. The pump sucks the antifreeze throughout all the plumbing.8

Zena, your new RV should have the same setup. Be sure to find a good system posted in the forum and follow it to a T.
