HoHum

HoHum campground in Carrabelle, FL is great. In fact we will be there next week for 12 days. Nice people, right on the water, fishing pier and low cost.

We like Camping on the Gulf in Destin, FL...in fact, going there next week. Park is very clean, nice bathrooms, 2 pools, lots of fun things to do...it is a bit pricey but it's our favorite beach spot. Check it out... www.campgulf.com

Ho Hum RV

Has very little other than a clean campsite, nice restrooms, right on the water and prices half what you get anywhere else! Full hook ups including 50 amp service. Prices are $29 to $37 a night instead of $90 something a night.

At Geronimo RV Park now. Very clean and the cheapest in the area. located in Mirmar Beach ( Destin ). No pool but only 2 blocks for the beach.

I have stayed at Geronimo before. See my review on www.rvparkreview.com

Ungated, BUT, clean and peaceful. EZ walk or bike ride to the beach; about 2 blocks. 1/2 price of those on the water, but really are not for most sites. AND you miss the abrasive sand beating H*** out of your siding and floors.

Top Sail Hill state park. No cars to the beach, must take a tram or ride the bikes. An inconvenience for the day tripper but great for those at the camp ground, makes for an isolated beach experience.

Just did an overnight at Topsail Hill as our spot at Camping on the Gulf was not open that night. Beautiful park, full amenities... we will definitely be coming back here. $43/night - versus the $100 we are paying 4 miles up the road. Also have cabins for rent if you want to have a family vacation...

Since the OP stated "no state parks" I can't help. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Florida except maybe Bluewater Key RV.
