We will be at Rainbow Springs State Park in Dunnellon Fl. It is a FHU state park. Not sure about fireworks but there will be a fire!

Thank you.

The Mrs. decided to head further north. Stone Mountain, GA. So much for staying in FL.

psdpower350 New Years

If you ever get the chance, obviously not this year, the north side of the river in Jacksonville is a super place to bring in the new year. You get double whammy! First fireworks go off from barges in the middle of the river, once they POP, you see them in the air and reflections in the windows of the tall surrounding buildings.

You will likely not be disappointed at Stone Mountain either. They do laser light shows as well as fireworks. I hope you have your camping reservation already or you may be seeing only the lights of a Walmart parking lot. No recession happening at holiday time in Atlanta. That RV park fills quickly, very quickly. I tried to get in 3 years ago on a spur of the moment decision, never happened.

Enjoy "Atlanta" and all our beautiful city has to offer. (We live 30 minutes N of Stone Mountain). We also lived for 12 years in Jacksonville. Liked that as well, actually more, but we are retired and grand kids live here, 2 miles away. We ain't going anywhere!!
