Another Canuck saying hello

Hello all. We got our first TT last November after being "tent trailer" campers since 1996. We are really excited about "moving on up".

I have been lurking on this forum all winter and have already learned a TON of info just from following along on several threads. I really appreciate the knowledge and experience I have observed here and hope I can eventually contribute.

Our trailer has been in hibernation all winter and I am champing at the bit to get going with several small projects to get it ready for the season. I trust I can ask for help if required.

Wife and I are retired. I did 31.5 years as a LEO and now spend time volunteering with our local FD.

Cheers, Steve

Welcome to the forum! Ask away as the questions arise. Hopefully you've seen examples of the knowledge and willingness to help of our members.

Hibernation of the RV??? Now you're retired so you can go somewhere and keep the trailer "active"! Barring something unforeseen I don't plan on winterizing my trailer again.

Hello fellow Canuck and
Lots of good info here.
Congrats on your retirement. I could not even fathom being a LEO in this day and age.

From what I've heard from a couple of our friends from Ontario they have been much more restricted on travel until just recently.
Not sure there's too many Florida like locations up across the border where winterizing wouldn't be necessary.
We were the same as you, never winterized after retirement. Told friends the 1st sign "bridges may ice" we saw we would turn immediately south.
Welcome Canuck! Now go enjoy retirement!

Hopefully the border situation regarding the Covid induced situations will ease up and Canadians can flee the cold up there in the northland and find balmier climates here in the States. Cold weather ain't fun. Welcome to the forum!

Things seem to be headed in the right direction. My wife and I drove out to visit family in Idaho just before covid. It was a drive out and hunting trip, not a camping trip and we didn’t bring a trailer. I would love to repeat it with a trailer. Also, a run to warmer climes in the winter is on the list.

Put together a signature with camper year, make and model and same for tow vehicle and any other info you would like others to see. Top/left in the black band is the UserCP where you can construct a signature. Thanks
