Where is the converter???

I have a 2013 Cougar Keystone X-Lite 31sqb. The owners manual I downloaded online is zero help. I've searched high and low for the converter and cannot find it. Can anyone please let me know where it is???

What Terry said^^^^. There are usually 4 or 6 screws holding your electric panel in place. Remove those screws and carefully slide the panel away from the wall/cabinet. Behind that panel should be the converter, and it should be plugged into a 120v receptacle in the area.

So I found the converter after taking the entire plastic panel off where the fuse box is. The issue now is that I can't really see or access any of it. It's almost as if they built this thing with the intention of making it really difficult to access. There are two screw on the bottom that appear as if I undid them I could slide out the coverter and access it, but I'm worried about screwing something up with all the wires floating aroud.

The bottom picture is the converter, right? And the second picture is what I could see angling my phone behind it.

That's how mine is (except cleaner )

Converter on the bottom. I just added (30 minutes ago) an AC volt and Amp gauge to mine so I can see what my voltage is and the amps I'm pulling.

Mine is behind my distribution center. Held in place by to screws. It acceptable from the opposite side by a panel with 4 screws. Then it's just getting my fat self in there.

It will slide right out if you take out those two screws. There's only three wires on the AC supply side and two wires going out to the fuse panel. If you want to be extra safe just unplug the trailer and disconnect the battery and everything will be dead.

If you attempt to disconnect your converter, take pictures of EVERYTHING in the panel, so you know what goes where before / after the removal. Wires, fuses, lugs, all important, and don't leave anything loose.

You may want to re-install it one day.

I can understand how a voltmeter could display the voltage in the coach. How does it measure your amperage draw?

Just curious.

Just curious.

By inductance. It uses a coil around your AC source neutral wire.

Heres a good installation video.

My hard wired 30A EMS with remote display will tell me the line voltage and amp draw of the trailer. No need to add another device IMO.

If they don’t have an EMS, they really should. If that gauge mounts to the front of the power distribution panel, location may make it problematic to read. Not trying to argue, Anything is better than nothing.

I have an EMS but it doesn't have remote read out. I've had the same meter laying in the trailer for 2 years now. Hopefully this spring I'll get around to installing it.

It can be mounted anywhere. I chose to mount it here because it was convenient and made for short wires.

I find it very easy to read in this location.
