Awning sitting on top of slide.

Alpine 3590RS, when we have the awning extended, it sits on top of our slide out. Seems to me this could cause an issue over time. Is there a way to adjust the awning angle to eliminate this? Does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks

It's normal. Never had a problem on both my trailers with slides under the awning. Look at it this way, that's one less slide topper you need to buy. A way to protect the fabric is to use a float noodle along the upper edge of the slide or that Styrofoam pipe insulation with the slit already cut in it, it will just slide across the top edge, but again it never hurt my awning.

Maybe try a few lengths of fluorescent flagging tape on the braces to save your head.

There might be one other way to prevent the head banging. Sometimes the awning brace can be removed from the trailer and then the brace can be stood upright and fastened to the ground (acting as a leg). On my fiver the brace just pops out of the bracket on the bottom.

On the manual awnings you could do that these electric ones have scissor like arms that includes the rain tilt feature with a hydraulic strut. I've bought some pipe insulation to put on the top of the slide where it rubs the awning i'm going to put the leftover on the awning arms.
