Towing Level

Just put in 18K Reese hitch, and adapter plate for under bed fifth wheel plate in a 2015 F-350 DRW. Hooked up trailer and have 10" of clearance between rail and trailer, is this to high?

Put a 4 foot level on drop frame under storage area, is within 1/8" - 1/4" over 4 foot span. Hard to tell if riding front high because roof line is on a downward slope.

Back of truck only dropped 1.5" after hitching. Still have at least 3/4" till helper spring touches back bump and at least 1" or better till front touches.

6" of clearance is an accepted minimum, so if your trailer is pretty much level while hitched up I say leave it alone.

Park on a level spot and take a side view......Look at the bottom edge of the trailer to see if its level....maybe even put a level on the floor inside.

Went ahead and lower hitch by one hole, still have 9" of clearance.
Both truck and trailer are sitting level while hooked up . Checked truck on bed rail and trailer on drop frame under storage area. As when camping checked inside on kitchen counter for lever front to rear.

Looks like you're good to go! Everything is now on the level.
