Cable Connection - Fuzzy...

We have a 2013 Raptor and are experiencing fuzzy tv's in the toy hauler back section and if we hook up a tv through the cable connection in the front storage area. Has anyone experienced this and have found something to fix the issue?

Thank you

Are you referring to reception using the winegard rv antenna for signal? How is reception at main or other tvs?

You probably have a loose or bad connector some where. Take all the tv connection plates off and make sure the coax is screwed on tight in the back.

If the coax connector looks wrong, it probably is. Tug on the coax a little. If the coax pulls out of the connector, replace it.

There is probably at least one splitter stuffed in the wall behind the Winegard antenna plate. Maybe one behind the entertainment center. Look at them also.

On my Fuzion you need to turn off the Winegard amp for the over the air antenna when you're connecting cable TV.

We had tried that as we found that out on our previous camper, but the issue with this is that it is not on all TV's, only the TV in the back toy hauler area and the outside compartment connection. We had it in the shop last week for other things and asked about this but they do not have cable in order to mirror our issue. All TV's work fine and clear on Antenna and Satellite. Seems to have something to do with the Cable connection I guess.

Thanks for your input..

My 2014 Fuzion 301 has the same issue. I haven't tried it with a cable, but I'm using the Direct TV box to run the front TV and split the signal for the two back connections as slaves to the Sat Box. I've replaced my splitter and cables, and checked the connections at the booster in the rear, but still haven't isolated the problem.
I suspect it's the lines that runs from front to rear. These are not coaxial cables, but small orange pairs that terminate into a short coaxial connector. Hopefully someone has resolved a similar issue and can share. If I figure it out, I'll let you know.

I have same problem on Raptor. Ours is all TVs except living room tv. Just got it back from dealer (after 7 week stay), they certainly should have had time to fix it. Have not hooked it up yet. Has to be a bad connection or splitter some where.

the splitter is located?

my 3912 has the splitter located behind the wingard on off switch / cigarette lighter panel in the front bed room. the panel has the cable and antenna leads going into it then the splitter comes out to the front, back, and other tv mounting locations. the problem could be with a loose connection in the cable. they don't use crimp ends.

I would be suspicious of the orange pairs. Television cable should be coax with RG6 being the cable of choice for minimal signal loss. That's the cable you would also use for satellite wiring.
