Question Cave-In-Rock State Park, IL

Anyone been to Cave-In-Rock State Park in IL? Never been, heard it's beautiful though.
If so, camp there? Somewhere else?
I tried the search feature on this site, not much (is that a sign??), unless I'm doing something wrong.

TIA

Have you looked at campgroundreviews.com? They have excellent information as well as reviews on thousands of campgrounds. There's a link to the site at the top of the page.

I used to hunt the area many years ago but never camped there. It is a beautiful area with plenty of outdoor activities. Here's a link to check out https://www.shawneeforest.com/camping/. You can also try this link to search the area https://wego.here.com/?map=39.60988,...6,terrain&x=ep.

I was in area for hog rock motorcycle rally. I rode my Harley through and around Cave in the rock grounds . It is interesting around the Ohio river, we took the ferry into Kentucky. I think it’s a worthy camp ground because of the cave in the rock and the little town bordering the park. I was there 2018

Thanks to all!!

Going with some friends, just finalized the date's with them. They did some of the legwork, he found out the campground is first come first serve.
My wife's OCD is so bad I say she has CDO (in alphabetical order!)! She isn't handling not having reservations so good!! I'm already convinced it will be a good time!!!

We went !

Went to cave-in-rock state park/campground, also garden of the gods. Hard to believe this is in Illinois!!
The restaurant at the park wasn’t the best. “88”diner in Marion, Ky , however, great! The fried pickles were wonderful.
There was a nice little ice cream shop at garden of the gods.
We did the tourist thing, took the ferry, and drove through Amish country also.
The campground was nice. Lots of space between spots. Several had a separate parking spot beside the space for the tt. Electric only, water spicket at the dump station. Various spots had both 30 & 50amp service, when you hook up your electric, make sure the breaker is on. First come first serve. Directional travel through the campground. Suggest you drive through, scope the spots, get water, go to your spot. Site host was very nice.
$5 off for vets, M-Thursday. Gas was $.50 a gallon cheaper in Kentucky.
