Trying to find the amplifier so I can insert a noise filter. Where is it?

If your unit has the wonderful (not) KeyTv its built into the module. If you dont then its one of the plates by a TV with a button on it.

But the amplifier isn't physically there, is it? It's only a power switch for the amplifier located inside the roof antenna.

There isn't much there, don't know how bulky a amplifieris, just a switch and small circuitboard. Found the coax jack with button in the bedroom. Also a splitter there tucked inside. Not much room to work in there.

I think all the amplifiers are mounted inside the antenna itself. What type of noise filter are you considering? Can it operate with dc current running thru the coax (that's how the antenna amp is powered)?

You either have the Furion antenna or the Roadstar antenna made by Winegard… in either case the preamplifier is mounted in the head of the antenna…

You could however install a DC noise filter or choke at the 12 volt DC source switch …

See image of plus and minus leads on wall panel switch backside of switch…

However.. if the antenna preamp in the antenna head is picking up RF from LED interior lights or the converter you may have better results by decoupling the RF being picked up via the coax cable..

First image is wall plate switch…

Second image is how to decouple TV noise picked up on the coax lead and the 120 volt AC power feed plug line for the TV set..

Link to Furion OTA antenna if you have Furion unit..
