Dexter EZ flex question?
Hi
My Dexter wet bolt EZ Flex kit just arrived. I will be installing it next week. Does anyone know if it adds to the trailer ride height at all. It looks like the extra linkage in the hardware would raise the frame up an inch or two, in comparison to the OEM suspension.

When I installed them on my Cougar there was no change in height. If you have the correct kit for the length of your springs your results should be the same. If I remember correctly the instructions told what to expect for different springs. Good luck, I think you will like the improvement, Hank
Here is a link to the thread with photos where I installed mine.

I put the E Z Flex equalizers on our FW last year and it did not seem to change the height. It does provide a way smoother ride.
There is a post somewhere on the forum that has pictures and instructions for the install. That information was very helpful to me for the install. It will be worth your time to search for the post!
Good luck with the install.

Are you upgrading because your stock suspension is worn or is this modification meant to prevent the wear?
The suspension on our Cougar has no grease fittings and I am concerned about the parts wearing

I am doing upgrade as preventative measure. That is one failure I don't want to experience. My rig is a 2010. KEYSTONE made the ez flex a standard item starting with 2011 models. There is a reason for that. That is just too much weight to be riding on plastic bushings.

EZ Flex
Thanks for the response. Looks like I have to do some research.
Our 5er is a 2012 model and I don't see any grease fittings
Thanks for the info, I agree with you on not wanting to experience suspension problems on the road.
We haven't put very many miles on the rig yet, but they will add up sooner or later.

I am pretty sure the Sydney Outback went with ez flex in 2012 models. I figured the Cougar would have also. They are similar in appointments/price level.

Went under the 5er yesterday during a break in the cloudburst
We have the Dexter axles but our trailer came with the Equaflex equalizers by TrailAir (Lippert)
Down the road I will order the wet bolt kit for these
Thanks to all for all the info
