Is there a better way to dis-assemble to replace the motor?
Is there instructions to open the tube / roller assembly to install the replacement shade?

Rivets don't typically "strip out" or loosen when installed in thin aluminum tubing that's subject to significant road vibrations and repeated torque from extending/retracting the awning. Screws, on the other hand, strip out, loosen, fall out and cause all sorts of "havoc" when towing or when the wind causes the awning to "flap in the breeze"....
Replacing the awning fabric is fairly easy, just unroll the awning fully, push the roller toward the trailer and lock the arms in place (removing the tension on the fabric) then pull the old awning fabric out of the channels on the trailer sidewall (remove the screws first at each end) and the awning roller tube. Then it's just a matter of sliding the new fabric 'gimp" (rope ends) into the channels, release the arms and adjust to center the fabric.
