Read post #2. Level it with the slide side a bit high to compensate for the drop when the slide is extended.

Somewhere near this topic, I had some questions for the 25 year experienced RV Tech at the dealership that recently installed an awning on my living room slide out. i asked about jacking the trailer up with the leveling jacks (do not have stabilizers) to service the brakes and bearings. He said not to as there is a possibility of bending the frame which will in turn throw off the leveling sensors and possibly affect tire wear. I know there has been some discussion on this forum (other threads included) about this. Following this advice I am convinced to only use a proper jack and rated stands.

I saw that, but on other forums, most tend to agree that you level first then extend the slide. I guess like everything else, once it's out of warranty it doesn't matter.

Try it "their way" and if your trailer is level, then enjoy the "happiness"....

Alternatively, if you try it "their way" and find that your trailer "leans toward the slide and is not level"... Maybe thinking "beyond their suggestion" might hold a solution to your issue of a trailer that's not level..... YMMV

As for the "warranty". I don't know of anywhere in the warranty exclusions that setting up a campsite so the trailer is level with the slides in or out is specifically spelled out as a cause for violation of the warranty. Besides, how is a dealership or Keystone going to "prove you did it that way, in violation of an ambiguous (at best) interpretation of the warranty?????

My warranty issue is if something in the slide mechanism breaks. I see what you mean, but you know how warranties work, it's always the owners fault. Your second point makes sense although I have no idea what YMMV means
I have no issues with being level with the slide out. I'll have to double check next time out to be sure. I do have the auto level on mine though, maybe it allows for it? I really don't know.
