Window shade

I have a 2017 Sprinter fifthwheel with a few problems. I already mentioned my ice maker now i have another issue.
My string broke on my window shade and after researching i see that this happens between 2 and 3 years.
Anyone else have this problem? I can't belive that the string only last up to 3 years.
My question is ; how do you remove the vlance to get to the shade. I l looked it up on You Tube and i haven't found any help yet.
i would like to get some infomation or instructions how to remove the valance
Restrining the shade looks easy.
Also, looks like you have to remove the valance to get to the shade.
Thanks

Good Morning I have a 2019 Springdale 262RK and our shade string broke as well from being too tight. Google how to fix RV window shades and there are a few videos how to do the repairs.
Good luck.
I was able to tie mine back together you may need to buy new cords.

I have a cougar and you can move the fabric on the top of the shade and there is a couple of screws to remove and the shape comes down. I didn't have to remove the valance at all. A long screw driver is helpful. Good luck.
