Water leak on Mega Slide roof.

Evening all. Last night during a pretty heavy storm I had water come in along the roof slide. It looks like either the seal/wiper was rolled under it's self and possibly caused the issue. I also noticed that the front area that is typically covered by the wiper seal. There is no eternabond tape or dicor covering the assembly screws. If any water gets past the seal and to the screws it would then leak into the camper. I will attach a couple pictures taken last night at 3 am in a storm. The slide was retracted a bit into the camper for the pictures.

It is stored indoors and I have not had it back out. I am thinking it was just wind blown in. I am going to put a slide out awning on the two slides next season. I am thinking of also putting a small amount of lap sealant on the screws and the seam at the front wall.

If you use DICOR self leveling sealant, don't forget that it stays "tacky" and will stick to the slide seal if you retract the slide before the sealant is cured. I've seen it take several weeks before the DICOR isn't tacky.

I have a Montana 5th 2004. Slide leaks can also occur if the upper rubber wiper seal slides sideways too much creating a gap between it and the vertical seal to allow wind blown rain inside the unit. Also even if you have externabond tape, the factory sometimes do not removed the plastic backing completely off the tape during installation. Mine had portions of the tape were not bonding to the roof and thus more leaks.
