Flying the Flag

We're at a large gathering in South Haven MI for the next week and the 5th wheel 3 sites down, well nothing will go down the toilet. Brought from the dealer to the park and moved in. It appears the hole into the tank wasn't drilled out. we ran a hose down it then measured and it goes to the tank and thats it.

The dealer said to bring it back and yes it's going back and staying there. The retired woman is none too happy and not someone to take lightly. Did I mention they ordered it from where they live in Texas and the dealer was wonderful during the sale and it's been a week without plumbing. The grey water is fine.

They were going to try to get a repairman in today or go lease another and send the bill to the dealer.

Fun gathering . Someone told me to take my American flag down I think I taught them a few new words and the flag still flies.

Most important it's not a Keystone but a Shasta.

I would suspect that the pipe is too long and sitting on the bottom of the tank. It would take a complete idiot to just lay the pipe on top of the tank with no hole. But if you are using an outhouse at home it may be possible. ......... Hank

What I've seen is they weld the tank flange in place then drill the tank to match but could be either. We do it for test fixtures so you can leak test the flange weld without pressurizing the whole tank and the flange can go wherever needed.

Why would someone ask you to take your flag down? What kind of gathering is this?

Changed topic

Since the focus of the thread has switched from the OP's toilet topic to flying the flag, the title of the thread has been changed to reflect that change.

I use this to attach to the bumper. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00174...ref=mp_s_a_1_8

And this for the pole.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004IVGA0G#

I also use this for lighting at night. Works great. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00D9C796Y

The adapter was mounted upside down since there is limited space to top mount it, but it works great.

I fly ours from the Hensley Hitch. Standard flag holder and a C clamp. We use a small LED light that lights it like daylight. I am always surprised by how few flags I see at CGs. Thanks to the men and women who have served to protect this country so that we may have the freedom to camp in our rigs!! I fly the flag in your honor.

I have asked people to take their flag down as well.......after dark. Not sure what your situation is, but flag protocol is that flags are flown from sunrise to sunset. Flags can be flown after dark on a permanent flag pole if it has proper lighting. Some take this more serious than others. I try to not get too offended because most people just don't know. They are patriotic, put the flag up and think it's okay to leave it up 24 hrs a day. I find that many are appreciative if you talk to them and educate them of the proper way to fly our flag.

Now if you were not flying it after dark.....then to hell with them and fly those colors high and with pride.
