Anyone travel with an Oxygen Concentrator?

I am trying to figure out the best way to provide the necessary amount of supplemental oxygen my husband needs while driving. His requirements are a constant flow higher than the portable can provide. We really do not want to take up what little space we have with extra tanks, plus the time to refill them will keep us from traveling very far. Has anyone had success with using a power converter to run a home concentrator?

Welcome to the forum. You don't mention what type of vehicle you will be traveling, but you will need an inverter large enough to run the concentrator and your vehicle will have to put out enough 12v dc to keep the battery charged and a generator to use while vehicle is not running for extended periods. Perhaps if you can fill in some blanks one of our resident electrical gurus can be of some help.
1. Amp draw of concentrator.
2. Batteries available and vehicle alternator output.
With a little more background I think you will see it is possible and at full hookup CG there should be no problem. .... Good luck and travel safely, Hank
