Max Air Vent Covers
Just Installed 2 MAX AIR Vent covers. Pretty easy. About 1 hour. The hardware is pretty small. Watch out for those little lock washers. they are tiny. I got the white translucent ones.

They are definitely nice to have, you'll be glad you installed them.

Thinking about adding them to our unit when it arrives (on order). How do they fasten to the roof. Do you have to drill holes ?

Video is fine, but I would strongly advise replacing the self-tapping (sheet metal) screws provided to fasten the brackets to the vent flange with small bolts and nuts - I have had the screws work loose and pull out!
I also replaced all the bolts and nuts with stainless! Makes taking the vent off to clean a lot easier if the nuts are not corroded in place!

The Max Air vent cover came with all stainless steel hardware, and there are bolts, flat washers and lock washers. No self tapping screws in these kits.

That's good! I don't know if I bought a different model, or just that it was a couple of years ago, but my Maxxairs had self-tapping screws and galvanised nuts/bolts!
You shouldn't have any problems!
