hello and park power shorts

Hello! We just bought a 2010 Keystone 30' Laredo trailer here in Canton Ohio. Wonderful.....except we cant get the 110/120 AC to work....We bought a "dogbone" converter to plug in to house power from the 30 amp monster and it sparks when we try to plug it into to house power. Did we forget something?

Anyone have ideas?

Shouldn't be an issue, except that a 15 amp house circuit may struggle to keep up with a 15k btu air conditioner.

Just make sure everything (particularly the AC) is off before you plug in to house power. Your converter/charger may also be drawing a lot of amps if your battery is low. Might want to disconnect the battery temporarily.

You didn't specify if the outlet you are trying to plug into is a household 15A or another outlet, like a dryer outlet. Measure the voltage at the outlet or have an electrician check the outlet.
