Furnace Question
Hi I'm new here and I just picked up a 2012 passport 2910. When I turn on the heater the upper fan also comes on unless running on 12 volts. is this normal. I'm assuming it is to circulate the heat inside. I don't really like the freezing air being blown around till it heats up for the first 30 min? Thanks Mike

I know this has come up before, and I think it's a thermostat setting. Try fiddling with the Fan ON/AUTO switch.

That's the fix for sure. We had the same issue the first time we fired up our furnace and changing the fan setting on the thermostat control took care of it. I don't have my TT at home so I can't tell you the exact setting but if you punch the fan button a couple of times you'll figure it out.

Really odd...When I run the furnace my AC fan comes on.....I cant figure it out. Considering that there is a run of ducting in the floor, why does the AC unit fan turn on as well.....?

Try setting the furnace thermostat to "AUTO".

Push the +&- buttons at the same time. The instructions are also in the thermostat manual.

Link to Manual
The Dometic thermostat manual says: “Furnace” - Furnace Mode
In this mode there are 3 fan speed selections:
Lo - (LOW): The fan operates continuously at low speed.
Hi - (HIGH): The fan operates continuously at high speed.
Au - (AUTO): The fan will be OFF.
Note: If additional indoor air circulation provided by the air conditioner
is not desired during Furnace Mode of operation, select Au
(AUTO) in the Fan Mode to shut the air conditioner fan off. If Lo
(LOW) or Hi (HIGH) is selected the air conditioner fan will continue
to operate on the selected speed. The full manual can be found here:

Thanks Folks. I bought the unit used. They used it on one trip and decided they wanted a motor home and traded it in. Point being there isn't any manuals. Thanks again! Mike.

Go hit up the manufacturer websites for all your appliances and download the installation and owner manuals. I keep PDFs of all of them on my iPad and iPhone.
