When you buy the replacement cable it will come with instructions on cable replacement. There are plenty of YouTube videos that show the procedure, If your not comfortable doing it then I would contact a repair shop as they are probably cheaper than the dealer

All of the repair shops are closed for Labor Day and parts are not readily available. Is there a way I can manually operate the slidout.

Depending on how heavy (big) it is, you might get lucky operating it while pushing it in.

The bottom front cable to retract the slide went back into the when it disconnected. How can I get access to the cable to get it back in place to replace the cable?

Is the motor above or below the slide? You will have to remove the top facia and possibly the vertical facia on the side that broke. Trim is usually stapled in and the heavy wood pieces are screwed into the slide frame.

This has escalated to more than I anticipated. I want to thank every one who responded, chuckster57. I guess I will have to try to get mobile rv service to help me out. Any suggestions for one in the Buffalo or Rochester area?

All of the repair shops are at least a two week wait. Sorry about the Labor Day reference.
