The vehicle manufacturer has the authority to set vehicle GAWRs. Those GAWR values depicted on the vehicle certification label are the only official values recognized by the industry.
Changing components linked to a
requirement does not change the requirement. It may increase your vehicle's performance but has no bearing on the value of the SET requirements.
The weakest link in an axle system may be the tires. Unless you have written conformation from the vehicle manufacturer you're guessing, because it might be the wheel bearings.
Bottom line; only the vehicle manufacturer or a certified vehicle modifier has the authority to change original GVWR or GAWR values.
