Working on winterizing and did not see any kind of bypass valve for the hot water. The dealership says there's one installed but they are an hour away. The hot water heater is under the bunk bed in the rear and I have to remove the matteress and support board to access it and when I did I could not see any kind of bypass valves. Anyone else know where they are?

The most common place for the bypass is behind the water heater. If you have one of the newer convenience center styles with labeled valves it will be there.

If it is there it will be where the piping is. Older style had three knobs and the newer ones just have one small knob that you give a quarter turn to.

Re: 2016 Passport 2400 bh

If you have valves in the convenience center, and one of them is a water heater bypass, when you turn it to the bypass position, it stops cold water from going to the water heater. On the hot water out port of the water heater, there will be a check valve, which prevents water from going backwards back into the tank. You then remove the anode if it is a Suburban, to drain the tank, or the drain plug if it is an Atwood. There is no need to access the rear of the water heater if you have this system.

Check between the piping/connectors and the backside of the water heater. If you do not have line of sight, feel around the area probably near the bottom for a small valve arm that you need to turn 1/4 turn for the bypass. They do not make it easy to find.
