On my 2013 Alpine the battery compartment door has a bulge starting in the corner I guess moisture getting in between Luan board. Can I just replace the door or do I need to replace the frame also and where should I get parts from keystone? How can you avoid this from happening. It doesn't look the best when you look at it at the right angle.

The door, frame, hinges and latches come as one unit. You can either negotiate with your dealer to order you the door, you can go to the trekwood.com website to order the door (somewhat expensive) or you can sometimes find replacement doors at other dealerships or even EBay and other websites. There are some "RV salvage and surplus" companies that buy over-runs and extra supplies from the manufacturers around the Elkhart/Goshen area. One of them may have your door "sitting in the corner gathering dust" and priced at a fraction of its value.

Here is a link to RV services/supplies/parts: http://www.keystonerv.org/forums/showthread.php?t=12986

Good Luck,

When the panel is cut, the exposed plywood should be sealed with something but never is, like a sponge when it gets wet it just sucks up water, the horse trailer manufacturers years ago called the fiberglass sided trailers FRP, (Fiberglass Reinforced Plywood) when they cut holes in the FRP for windows, doors, etc. sometimes water would leak through to the plywood, of course delamination would occur causing bulging in the fiberglass, how they solved this problem is smear waterproof caulking onto the cut opening of the plywood before installing a window, door etc. after a few years of the FRP trailer, then came along the all aluminum trailer which was much lighter and stronger...
