Walker River Resort, Smith, NV

Stopped by there today to check the place out. Nice facility. Anyone else been there?

I have never been there, but know some people going there next week to stay and do some riding. I image they must have hookups because you will probably want to run your AC with the summer temps in the 90's. From where I would be coming from, I would personally stay on 395 and go to Mammoth, before heading east further out into the desert. The riding in the Mammoth/June lake area is epic and the beauty is unsurpassed.

Mammoth is more scenic, but Walker River has riding access to a couple of ghost towns, old mining areas and less people. If you want a long day, Bodie is accessible from there, also. Depends on your interests, I guess.
