New Member Check In

Greetings from central Iowa! We are newly retired and just purchased a 2018 24SABWE. We have a 2011 Toyota Tundra for a tow vehicle. The numbers seem to work out right, but it will be at the upper end of the cargo and towing capacity. I have read a few of the forums about tow vehicles, and I'm sure we will probably upgrade in the future.

Looking forward to reading and learning about the RV lifestyle. We will not be full timers for a while - luckily we have a lot of options for exploration within a short distance from home.

See y'all in the posts...

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your retirement. It’s great to be able to enjoy the RV lifestyle without having to be back for work on Monday.

Welcome!
Congratulations on crunching the numbers beforehand.
It appears you are absolutely correct that with a nearly 30' TT with a GVWR of 7800lbs that will have 1000+/- lbs tongue weight so you will be leaning pretty hard on the payload of a Tundra. The max tow rating is a meaningless number to calculate rv towing from.
