The game was good as long as you can endure the constant stoppages in play for endless amounts of commercials.
I like football, but these days there are more commercials than game, especially the Super Bowl. Each year I've been watching less and less sports because of all the advertising and now endless promotion of gambling. It's just gotten to much!

Especially if one stayed woke through the endless mindless unfunny commercials!

No interest in sports at all, none, nada, zilch! Never have. But glad you enjoyed the game.

True story about my "passion" for sports.

9th grade in school. Gym class. 6 weeks of swimming, 6 weeks of basket ball, 6 weeks of gynmastics, 6 weeks of foot ball, 6 weeks of field and track, 6 weeks of vollyball / tennis / stuff on a court with a net.

Well, I did pretty good until it came time for football. So, here we are, our class was divided in half. We were outside in the grass with an imaginary 50 yard line. The other side had the ball. One of the big brutes in my class was facing me, squatted down, and then the "HIKE! HIKE! HIKE!" And he came charging toward me. I said ... OH HELL NO! I simply stepped aside and let him go right past me. I stood there with my arms folded over. The whistle blew. The gym teacher came charging over to me and yelled and screamed at me wanting to know why I just stood there. In all the politest manner I could muster, I tolk him .... "Well, I told you before we started playing any football I wasn't going to participate." I'll take the written tests, I'll learn the rules, but I wasn't going to actually play. I didn't want to get trampled, kicked, pulverized, bashed, knocked around, or end up in the hospital. So, I just stood there. Don't expect me to play."

Well, I finished the 6 weeks with "D". He couldn't fail me completely because I did get all "A" on all the written tests about the rules of the game!

True story!

I'm now almost 68 years old and still don't care for sports. (although I TRULY have tried... I just don't care for any of it.)

I love football. (well, used to) I still like football. However, the wrong team won the superbowl, just pointing that out. LOL. Anyway, back in the day the players actually had a love for the sport as well as a commitment to their team, it was great to watch. There were a few (won't name names) that even took pay cuts so the team had the salary cap to put better players around them to win. No more of that. Oh hey, I have a better offer over here so, I'm not playing until you trade me. I'm gonna sit on the bench and whine. I want more money, more money. Well, needless to say, these kinds of actions have taken away my "love" for the game, but do still like to watch. I don't support it anymore like I used to with buying memorabilia and such, but I do still watch.

To the OP point, it was a heck of a game!!!! Excitement til the end. YUP!

We watched recorded episodes of Legends and Lies. Great stories of the Revolutionary War heroes.
Haven't watched much football in years.

Nope, the right team won.

Vaunted Eagles defense collapsed in the 2nd half.
Allowed the Chiefs to score on every 2nd half possession.
And the supposedly best pass rush in the NFL didn't sack Mahomes once during the entire game.

The BIG question: Did they stop playing and changed their game plan to defending their lead thinking it was in the bag?
A lot of it, is the Chiefs just play their best football when their backs are up against the wall or they are down points.
Down 10 points with just over 8 minutes to play in last Super Bowl win against the 49er's.

The Bills scored and went up by 3 points in Divisional round last year with only 13 seconds left in game.
Mahomes drives them down the field into field goal range to sent it to overtime.

Bottom line, the Chiefs are probably one of the best scoring teams when the chips are down.

Brady and Tampa Bay blew them away in their last Super Bowl two years ago, so they had something to prove to themselves.

Casino poker room in AZ had a sign scroll by that said if your home team is in the Super Bowl your likelihood of having a heart attack goes up 50%. I told the table "I'm from Minnesota so I never have to worry about that."

Seriously not a foot ball fan but take your laughs whenever you can get em.

Anyone that watches/follows football has a team, sorry to say, the Chefs are at the bottom of my totem pole!!

Glad you got your $1000 back though, my team wasn't in it, so I'll this one time say "go Chefs" just for you!! LOL.
