Mine has been doing same thing after about the 3rd year mark. It has never been covered, just parked when not in use facing the sun in Oregon.
It's the heat from the sun, no water leakage on mine. Been in ID now for a year and its worse and still parked facing the sun every day at home. Decals cracked and faded. If you look at RVs on the road or in parks with same style fronts many have the same problem. We stayed at the Ambassador in Caldwell for several weeks. I think it has about 200 sites. I once walked past every site and counted how many had the same problem, it was almost 100%.
I noticed that the Cougar line of TTs went with front caps much like higher end 5th wheels now. I think completely different than what we have and likely to end our problem we have with the front caps.
I checked in Payette at a RV shop and was told 5,000 plus to replace it.
I have been wanting to contact the factory in Pendelton and find out if they would and at what cost. We are wanting to sell the unit soon and it makes the unit really ugly, most would think its water damage and pass on buying or low offer.
