Hello and welcome to the forum!

Is there room to use a large pair of pliers (Channel Locks come to mind) to rotate the valve mechanism?

Just an idea.....

Cheers!

Sounds Iike a typical Thetford toilet?
Your best option is to change it to a Dometic 310 or 320 & use that POS Thetford for target practice or a bird bath.

Your 2013 Alpine should have the Dometic 310 toilet already.. if the foot pedal center piece is broken and you cant attach to move the toilet flap valve I don't think you will be able to also get the plunger for the water valve on the toilet to open...

I could be wrong ...

Sounds like you will be using the camps facilities for a little while.

Why isn't anybody recommending a bucket of water? Fill it from the shower hose!

If the foot pedal is broken, the ball valve won't open to empty the toilet bowl. Filling a bucket from the shower and pouring it into the toilet will just worsen the "emptying issue".

Oh, duh! I forgot it wasn't just getting the water to flow!
We have to do this all the time in our home when we have a town power outage (we scoop buckets from the pool). But our toilets don't have sliding doors!

Worst case scenario of toilet bowl was full of stuff and pedal broke off the shaft I’d use a long screw driver and place against the toilet ball valve and see if I couldn’t over center it and get it to open and dump the contents into the tank

Then wash the screw driver off afterwards of course
