This could easily become the next Toilet Paper shortage..... At least we don't have Johnny Carson telling everyone that RV tires are in short supply.....

Sounds like a politician wrote that article.... they are talking out of both sides of their A88. In one breath they indicate there is a shortage, in the next they say everything is OK.

It sounds like, what they are saying, Thialand is just miss managing the tree growth for rubber, running though "cycles." Anyone in the forest industry, logging industry, know that trees need to be replenished constantly, not just when they quit producing!

It's a bunch of double talk, again .... scare mongering a gullible public, or anyone who can't think for themselves.

The headline certainly struck me as scare clickbait.

One lady got "the last set of tires in the USA in her size." Yet two big tire companies are reported as shipping great guns. Conclusion: tires in my rather common size are probably readily available.

Drat... what would happen if Keystone ran out of TKs? Use Carlisles? Sailuns? Goodyears? Price of a camper would go up 243 percent!

Oh yeah, they would do that. LOL More realistic would be .243%
Tires have about 20% butadiene (synthetic rubber) in them.

Seems like I had a bit of an issue securing my Goodyear Endurance tires early last spring, but got them. However, I finally ended up cancelling an order from Summit Racing on a pair of Mickey Thompson radial skinnies for my drag car. Did manage to the the drag radials I wanted for the rears. Placed the order on Nov 11 for both, skinnies were on BO. First est. date was Dec 28. Then it got pushed out to March 3rd. Having no faith that would be met, I just cancelled. Guess I’ll be running my bias ply Hoosier skinnies again this year.

We’re on this for the ride!
You can’t stock up or back stock tires! So when you need tires that is when you buy tires. Just buy the best, get the highest load rating available for your trailer in ST. If they’re in-stock / out of stock or high priced that is just life. You can oay or wait in your yard.
Extra load rating just gives you extra weight load percentage. Would you ride with in 10% or 15% of your limit when loaded to limit or have a tire that has example 40% capacity left.
Of course the load rating on a tire doesn't change the load number on your wheels or axles load capacity.

And when you realize that the upgrade in load capacity always comes with a higher tire pressure than your particular wheels are rated for, that's when all the fun starts.
