Breaker for auto level

I have a Carbon 349 with the six automatic hydraulic jacks. I see a few notices that recommend changing out the breaker for high amp one. I was going to do that but for the life of me I can't find it. It is no where near the battery compartment, and it is not by the hydraulic unit. So does anyone know where Keystone stuck it on a 349?

Generally they are within 18" of the battery. Grab the positive wire from the battery and slide your hand on the wire away from the battery until you hit the breaker.

Only do this if Lippert has recommended to do so. Generally speaking replacing with a higher rated breaker can be dangerous. Is your hydraulic pump stopping, then re-starting? Be absolutely sure it has been recommended by the manufacturer to do this.

Replacing the OEM 50 amp resettable breaker that sends power to the dual polarity solenoid mounted on the hyd pump motor is a smart thing to do... The pump will draw well over 50 amps at times .. especially if operating in colder weather

There are two different bulletins out by Lippert and Lipperts after market six point hyd system install manual states USE 80 amp breaker...

I replace mine in 2014

Here is the proper way to identify which breaker needs upgrading from 5-0 to 80 amps..

First image locate the dual polarity solenoid located on the hyd pump motor..see cable circled in yellow

Next two images show both a two and a three resettable breaker setup and show you how to identify which breaker needs upgrading to 80 amp

Take a picture of your setup so,you know where the wires went and remove the old breaker ( with battery disconnected ) and install new breaker and reconnect cables

Verify hyd pump motor runs

NOTE.. the main power lead cable from battery doesn’t usually run dir3ctly to the breaker you need to upgrade. As shown in the images from m6 Alpine and a newer alpines with 3 resettable breakers

I’ve also attached link to Lipperts latest upgrade bulletin.. OF your existing cables are nice and heavy then they will do just fine with the upgraded breaker
