Life passes fast.....

It has been exactly a year since my wife and I took our new trailer to our BIGGEST adventure/pull to that date.
I recall my apprehension as if yesterday, and I tried to hide it from her, lol!

We pulled the trailer from Whidbey Island up over the "Cascade Alps" on highway 2....over to Curlew Lake.

Seemed like it was straight uphill, then straight down hill, oh my...
But I made it, and my truck really did all the work, I just steered

Such a beautiful road, the scenery is amazing, snow often hanging on through the entire year in places....
Fact is it snowed on our way back over, but not sticking on the road yet, a week later I think they closed it for the rest of the year until spring thaw.

Since then I have pulled it a lot, going to Yellowstone being the longest, but I will surpass that next month pulling all the way down to Southern California to spend a few months and holidays with the kids...

Lots of great help here in helping me wipe away my greenest, gonna be a pro someday

A few pixs from our "spot" on Lake Curlew, and then another of a near by lake Bonaparte

Quite a trip! We've recently taken 2 (I can't stand driving on 5) to visit the daughter in Mukilteo. Very nice trip for us in a passenger car. I will certainly look up Curlew Lake based on your pictures. Maybe we can get the DD to come camping with us.
Nice Panos!

If you like fishing, this whole area is fishing....lots of birding too, even wild turkeys, and of course deer every where.

Some more pictures of that outing, and the captain with her haul of yellow perch ( it got chilly on the boat ) and her cooking them back at our spot.

Two nice private RV campgrounds, and a very nice state campground with hook ups too.

Eddie great pics. Yellow perch are one of my favorites and can eat my weight in them! Looks like a lot of fun in a pretty place.

Thanks Eddie for the additional pics and info. At one time I was considered the "Fishin' Magician". No, really... That's what the nieces and nephews all thought. I don't know where they got that idea

They were so good...first time I ever had them, LOVED Them.

I like eating these too, we can catch a ton of these where we live while soaking our crab traps.

On light tackle they are a blast. My wife fries them and then pours a sauce over them...damn, you gotta be careful licking your fingers you don't bite off your finger tips

and of course dungies are a bomb!

There are benefits of having friends who hunt alligators. Jerry and Debra had us to dinner in Wisconsin and what did we have? Alligator of course. It simply couldn't have been better. I wish we could have been in on the yellow perch above!
