Cape May NJ

Stayed for a few days in Seashore campground and Rv resort in Cape May NJ

First time camping in Cape May…usually stay in one of the historic hotels.
The campground was huge with a pool and a small lake. Golf carts everywhere and tons of kids on bikes..lots of activities..had a kids dj singalong on Saturday night that was packed with families…nice place with mostly shaded sites although kinda close together..it’s a sun rv resort.
Cape May is EXTREMLY clean and picturesque…almost all of the hotels are old Victorian looking turn of the century immaculate buildings…some really great restaurants and a closed off st that is filled with shops and restaurants (Washington st mall).
The beaches are pristine and filled with different color umbrellas from all the different hotels and they have cabanas you can rent for the day.
One thing that some may not like is there is a fee to use the beach in Cape May..and other beaches in New Jersey as well but not all…it’s $8 a day per person or $15 for 3 days or a $75 yearly pass I believe. Children under 11 free
It keeps the beaches family oriented and you dont have to deal with some of the problems you see at other places where people show up in a car with no hotel and nothing on there mind but to start trouble.
It’s really like going back in time….we had dinner on the mall and walked over to the town square on Saturday and they had the Cape May Jazz group full band with a female singer belting out songs with a big crowd…was really nice

They also have the Cape May ferry that runs over to Lewes Delaware …one of our other favorite places..you can do a day trip with bikes

We stayed there this year and in 2019 and again in a year or two...

The pay showers are leaving the scene for normal valves cuz this summer there were 2 working mens stalls (hot AND cold) and no working womens stalls, burn or freeze.

Love the 'fake lake' too.

You may have been there around the same time we were if it was after the 4th.
