Window shade ?????

I love having a window above our heads to look out, HOWEVER, not sure if those around me like looking in
I've tried to find a shade that would cover our window but have just not found one that looks "right".
I tried the manufacture site, but nothing, weird because all the other windows came with shades except this one and I can't find it as an option anywhere.

Appreciate any help/ideas.
I want one that will work easily, but not hang on my face as I sleep, etc, as that wall angles inward.

Here is a picture if that helps.

Thanks.

They do make side track shades. Just google them, not sure if they would work in your application but it doesn't look very long so the tracks wouldn't have much of a curve I wouldn't think, hard to really tell. I can't think of any other type that would hold close to the curve as to not hang down. Not sure as I've never used them, just know they exist.

As a simple, temporary fix, why no attach a Command Hook on each side of the window (near the bottom). Then take a string, or a thin wire and stretch it across the window and tie each end to the Command hook. Now, when you lower the existing blind, simply tuck it behind the wire / string to hold it against the wall and not dangling down over your head.

Mean while, you can look for another alternative. They do make tracks that can be fit for each side. My Montana High Country has a front living room and a full window in the front. It came factory, with a roller shade and shade simply rests against the valance (turned vertical) on each side of the window.

But for a quick fix, the string and Command Hooks would work and easily removed if they don't, or you swap the blinds out for something different.

Oh, I just realized you do not have a blind on the window at all.

So... ok... Why not just get a standard roller pull shade. You can get them cut and customized to any length at Lowe's Home Improvement stores in the Window Treatment area. Install it and you can then try the Command Hook and String method. If it works, you can rig up something similar with a more permanent fix?

One other thought, I've seen pleated shades that pull up, not down. A quick google search and I came up with lots of "bottom up" shades. Lowes and Home Depot showed many as well as other sites.

I recommend wearing pajamas until you get this figured out. I have aluminum blinds in my ancient Cougar and while they are not something I would recommend, they do stay closed in the bedroom ALWAYS and we also have 80 percent tint on the windows. That makes it very difficult to see into the camper if the lights are off. I personally would get some bamboo slat blinds of the proper width and remove the slats not needed at the bottom; these blinds come with fittings you can screw into the wall and hook the bottom part into so they don't bounce around. When I get some ambition I will likely put some in our camper as the old aluminum blinds have really taken a beating especially on the back (kitchen) window and big side window next to our dining room table.

Wear pajamas!!! OK, somehow this brought back a memory!

A few years ago we were camping in a State Park. It was in our Outback that had a rear living room with opposing slides and the gigantic rear window. My wife and I have been married since dirt was created so we are not shy around each other at all.

So, there she stood, butt naked in the living room. All the shades and blinds were closed, except for one. It was in the morning, we'd just gotten out of bed and just started moving about.

Well, about that time there was a knock on the door. This fellow was rather irate with us and in not so polite language told us to either put cloths on or keep all our blinds closed.

After he left, I went outside to the open blinded window to see what I could see. I actually could not see anything inside the camper, let alone someone standing in the living room area, unless I got right up to the window and made a conscious effort to "peep" in!

Go figure!

Pajamas.....I wasn't born with them on

We sort of decided to just go with something we will fashion ourselves.
Will get some material that will suffice, our window is tinted, can't see in unless its dark outside with our lights on inside.

Will use Velcro to attach, a couple of small round ones on the window frame, and match them up to a corresponding spot on a handmade curtain, call it good, easy to remove and store once I have my pajamas on and want to look at the moon.

Anatomy 101: You can't "look at the moon" with your pajamas on.... And, you'll find it easier with a mirror, even with them off...

A home made custom drape with Velcor tabs is a quick, effective way to block the view of the moon and hopefully keep the complaints to a minimum

I've made shades for every camper we had, usually to replace the kitchen and bedroom ones. Buy a cheap vinyl shade, take the end off that doesn't have the mechanism in it, cut the roller tube and vinyl off the end to the width you need but leave the vinyl on it for now (you'll need it put your fabric on straight). Buy fabric of your choice, easy if you find something that won't unravel so you only need to sew the bottom edge to hold a slat or dowel.

Use lightweight iron on interfacing if you want white showing on the outside, many of the darkening shade have white on the back. Lay your new fabric aligning the side edge with the vinyl edge and staple to roller before cutting off the vinyl, insures you get it on straight. Use hold down bracket and drill a small hole in the dowel piece on the end.

Have to make one for our current camper, will take some pics if I remember.
