I did the tuner thing several years ago. It was a reputable tuner. However, the tuner wiped out my ECM which required a new ECM to be installed by the dealer to the tune of $1700.00. The technician advised that if it was such a good idea then the manufacturer would sell tuners.
Now, I have a 2016 Ram 3500 HO Cummins. Plenty of power and I’ll live with the DEF and emissions thingies.
