For what it's worth, I use just plain old olive oil for most cooking ( save the EVOO for salads etc) it works well at the lower cooking temps. Canola is better for the higher cooking temperatures. Both are heart healthy when used that way. For seasoning the grill I usually use canola, but have used crisco as well.
