AC question

I dropped by the storage facility where we keep our Trailer and as a newbie I've been trying to read everything here that could possibly be related to what we have, or what we may experience or need to know. Yesterday I read about the need to run the generator once a month under load for an hour so I'm kicked back on the recliner doing time in the trailer now waiting for an hour to pass.

For the load on the generator I turned on both roof AC's and set the thermostat for each at 74f and it is about 85f outside. The trailer is in covered storage and the temperature was quickly reached inside without the sun having it super heated, but the AC's are not cycling off like a home air conditioner would. Instead they are acting more like the AC in a car with the fans running constantly as well as the compressor, but the air doesn't seem to be as cold as when it cycles on for lack of a better description. Is this normal? This seems like it could be fatiguing over the course of a couple of weeks and we're going to Moab in two weeks where we're going to need them.

Edit: Didn't have the thermostat set to auto.... Waiting to see if this helps.

Yep that was it. Sorry for the stupid question.

Sounds like you got it figured out. Explaining the Au, high, low feature of the A/C fan seems to be the one thing that consistently confuses new buyers.

At least you remembered, I've lost count of the number of phone calls about this.
